Lets learn how to connect Engini to Postiz. This integration empowers your social media management by connecting Engini’s AI workflows directly to Postiz’s publishing capabilities. To get started, create an account at Postiz.

Add a Connection to Postiz in Engini

  1. Enter your Engini account at https://app.engini.io.
  2. Navigate to Connections page by clicking on the Connections on the left sidebar or by clicking here.
  3. Click on the “New Integration” option located at the topbar.
  4. Choose Postiz option from the available applications.
  5. Enter the following details in the “New Integration” form and press Save:
Note : There are two different authentication methods available, and the required fields differ depending on the option you choose. Please follow the relevant instructions based on your selected method.

API Key

An API Key is a unique credential used to authenticate and authorize requests between Engini and an external service. The key identifies the connected account and allows Engini to access the service according to the permissions assigned to that key.
  1. Connection Name - Enter a clear name for the connection. This helps identify the account or integration when using it later in workflows.
  2. Authentication Method - Select the authentication method used by the service. In this case, choose API Key.
  3. API Key - Enter the API key provided by the external service. Engini uses this key to authenticate requests sent through the connection.
  4. Save - Click Save to create the connection using the entered settings.

OAuth2

This authentication method requires you to connect using your own OAuth2 credentials. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret provided by the external service, then sign in to complete the authorization process.
  1. Connection Name - Enter a name that helps identify the connection.
  2. Authentication Method - Select OAuth2 as the authentication method.
  3. Client ID - Enter the Client ID provided by the external service.
  4. Client Secret - Enter the corresponding Client Secret.
  5. Sign in - Click Sign in after entering the required credentials to continue the OAuth2 authorization flow.
  6. Save - Click Save to create the connection after the authentication process is completed.

Actions

Get Posts

The Get Posts action retrieves posts from Postiz within a specified date range. You can also add filters to narrow down the returned results.
  1. Start Date - Enter the beginning of the date range. The value is required and should be provided in UTC ISO format.
  2. End Date - Enter the end of the date range. The value is required and should be provided in UTC ISO format.
  3. Add Filter - Click Add Filter to define conditions that narrow down the data list and return only the relevant items. To learn more about using filters, click here.

Get Groups

The Get Groups action retrieves the available groups from Postiz. This action does not require any input fields. When the workflow runs, it returns the groups that are available for the connected Postiz account.

Create Post

The Create Post action creates a new post in Postiz and lets you configure the post type, link behavior, tags, and post content.
  1. Type - Select the type of post you want to create.
  2. Short Link - Enable or configure short-link behavior for links included in the post.
  3. Tags - Expand this section to add or configure tags for the post.
  4. Posts - Expand this section to configure the post content and related post settings.

Initialize Object Array

The Initialize Object Array action creates a new array variable that can store multiple objects of the selected type and be used later in the workflow.
  1. Variable name - Enter the name of the array variable that will be created.
  2. Object Element Type - Select the type of object that each item in the array should use.

Append to Object Array

The Append to Object Array action is used together with Initialize Object Array. First, use Initialize Object Array to create the array variable, then use this action to add additional objects to that same array.
  • Variable - Select the object array variable that was previously created using Initialize Object Array.

Initialize Settings Variable

The Initialize Settings Variable action creates a settings variable that can store a structured object and be used later in the workflow.
  1. Variable name - Enter the name of the settings variable that will be created.
  2. Object Element Type - Select the object type that defines the structure of the variable.

Map Object Array

The Map Object Array action transforms a list of data into a structured object array that can be used later in the workflow.
  1. Data List - Select or provide the list of items you want to map.
  2. Object name - Select the object type that defines the structure each item in the mapped array should use.

Update Release ID

The Update Release ID action updates the release ID associated with an existing Postiz post.
  1. Post ID - Enter the ID of the post you want to update.
  2. Release ID - Enter the new Release ID that should be assigned to the selected post.

Delete Post

The Delete Post action deletes an existing post from Postiz using its unique post ID.
  • Post Id - Enter the ID of the post you want to delete.

Delete Post by Group

The Delete Post by Group action deletes posts associated with a specific Postiz group. Group ID - Enter the ID of the group whose posts you want to delete.

Upload File

The Upload File action uploads a file to Postiz using its Base64 content and file name.
  1. Content - Enter or map the file content as a Base64 string.
  2. File Name - Enter the file name, including the relevant file extension.

Upload a File From URL

The Upload a File From URL action uploads a file to Postiz directly from a publicly accessible URL.
  • File URL - Enter or map the URL of the file you want to upload.

Generate Video

The Generate Video action creates a video in Postiz based on the selected generation type and provided parameters.
  1. Type - Select the video generation type you want to use.
  2. Output - Define or map the output value that should be used for the generated video.
  3. Custom Params - Expand this section to provide additional parameters required for the selected video generation type.

Send API Request

  1. Base URL - The main endpoint of the API you want to call (e.g., the server or service URL).
  2. Relative URL The specific path or resource you want to access, appended to the Base URL.
  3. Method - Defines the HTTP method used for the request (e.g., GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
  4. Body Type - Specifies the format of the request body (e.g., JSON, form-data).
    • application/json – Sends the request body in JSON format. Commonly used by REST APIs.
    • application/json – Sends the request body in JSON format. Commonly used by REST APIs.
    • Custom (use Content-Type header) – Allows you to define a custom body format by manually setting the Content-Type header.
    • application/x-www-form-urlencoded – Sends the body as URL-encoded key-value pairs, commonly used in form submissions.
    • file – Sends a file as the request body.
    • multipart/form-data – Sends form data that may include both text fields and files.
    • text/html – Sends the request body as HTML content.
    • text/plain – Sends the request body as plain text.
    • text/xml – Sends the request body in XML format.
  5. Body - The payload sent with the request, usually required for methods like POST or PUT.
  6. Add Headers - Allows you to include additional headers (e.g., Authorization, Content-Type) required by the API.
  7. Add Queries - Allows you to add query parameters to the request URL (e.g., filters, pagination).
