# Release October 2026

Our team has been hard at work creating updates and new features just for you, see what we’ve been up to over the last month.

## New Features

### Apps - Files Gallery

**Description**
You can now display a Files Gallery on your app screens. Turn on **Enable Files Gallery** in the screen properties to show the files attached to each record directly on the screen, or turn it off to hide the gallery.

**Purpose**
Gives app users quick access to a record's files without leaving the app, while letting you decide which screens display them.

### Sticky Notes

**Description**
You can now add sticky notes to the workflow canvas. Right-click the canvas and select **Add Note**, or press **Shift + N**, then type your text using Markdown, choose a color, and resize or move the note anywhere on the canvas. All notes in a workflow are listed from the Notes button in the bottom bar.

**Purpose**
Lets you document what a workflow does, flag open questions, and leave context for teammates right on the canvas, without affecting how the workflow runs.

### Lookup Table Function

**Description**
The new **@@LookupTable** function returns a value from an Engini table: you give it a table name, the field to return, and the matching conditions, and it returns that field's value from the first row it finds, like Excel's VLOOKUP. It works only on Engini tables.

**Purpose**
Replaces stacking several Sort & Filter activities when all you need is a single value from a table. If you need all the matching rows, keep using Sort & Filter.

### Tables - Manage Fields

**Description**
The new **Manage Fields** panel lists all the fields of a table in one place. Open it from the table's three-dot menu to add a field, rename it, or use the three dots next to any field to **Duplicate** or **Delete** it. Duplicate creates a new field with the same type and settings as the original, including its values.

**Purpose**
Instead of creating a field from scratch with **+** and setting it up again, you can duplicate an existing one and just rename it, and manage all of a table's fields without scrolling across the table.

## Features Improvement

### Sort & Filter: Advanced Filtering Always Visible

**Description**
The **Advanced Filtering** switch now appears as soon as you open the **Sort & Filter** activity, right next to **Add Filter**, instead of only after adding a filter.

**Purpose**
Makes free-text filter and sort expressions easy to find, and matches the layout of **Query Array**.
