# Delete destination

> Soft delete - the customer's delivery history survives, and the NAME becomes immediately
reusable.

Refused while trigger instances still reference this destination, unless
reassign_to names a live sibling to move them to. Triggers configured with no destination
at all are untouched by reassign_to: they resolve the account default at delivery time and
never referenced this row. The account default cannot be deleted - promote another destination
first.
